Over the years, I have seen several designer gadgets presented in the market like cell phones, netbooks, and headsets but this is my first time to see a designer Android tablet. The tablet comes from an Italian-born French fashion designer Pierre Cardin. Looking at the designer Android tablet closely, it looks like a rebranded Dropad A8 and Herotab C8.
On the tablet’s official website, the device is called the Pierre Cardin PC-7006. The 7-inch (800 x 400 pixels resolution) tablet is powered by a 1 GHz Samsung Cortex A8 processor and 512 MB of RAM. It features an Android 2.2 Froyo operating system, a 4 GB internal storage, a microSD card slot (up to 16 GB of storage), Wi-Fi, and 3G connectivity support.
Before you can use the 3G network, you must first buy a separate 3G USB dongle. Additional features of the device include an HDMI port, mini USB port, and a 1.3 Megapixels front facing camera. The designer tablet weighs 520 grams and measures 19.5cm x 12.3cm x 1.4cm. The tablet comes with a 4400mAh Lithium Ion battery.
